Energy
Saving
There continues to be much debate over the extra price to
pay for Energy Saving systems.
There are a number of key features
that make FlexSys probably the most energy efficient system
on the market today without
having to pay a premium on capital expenditure.
Some of the
main features are:
- Central station air handling units designed
for 100% free cooling when the ambient temperature is below
15°C. This
is on average at least 80% of the year during normal working
hours
- Only supply enough air to cool the “Breathing
Zone” -
not the whole space
- Very low terminal pressure of 7 Pascals,
probably the lowest terminal pressure of any system presently
on the market
- Modular Fan Terminals heater units that
only run during heating mode
- Air handling unit plenum Plug fans
to:
- reduce fan sound power levels and hence primary
attenuation
- facilitate multiple duct supply and return connections
reducing ductwork and plant space
- York’s expertise in optimising
plant selection to maximise energy efficiency
- York’s controls
and BMS systems focused on optimising energy efficient
programmes
- Reduced building heights resulting in less
building materials
- The application of Plug ‘N’ Play
cable technology means cabling is re-used during Churn
